Dear alumni, parents and friends of McGill,
Wherever I go, whether travelling as part of my work with non-profit organizations or simply on vacation, I’m always so pleased to come across other McGill alumni. Members of my family attended McGill and proudly share in its traditions; but really, we McGillians are all one big extended family.
That’s why the McGill Alumni Association makes it easy for you to reconnect with old friends and fellow alumni. After you log in on aoc.mcgill.ca, you can click on “Find Alumni” to display members of your graduating class. And if you click on “Advanced Search,” you can look for alumni working for a certain company, in a specific field, or in a chosen city among McGill’s worldwide network of 215,000 grads.
The MAA also makes it easy to stay connected, leveraging the growing power of social media in a unique way with Alumnilive365.mcgill.ca. This dynamic website provides a forum for discussion and allows graduates, parents and friends to post photos, videos and stories about McGill and alumni events. One of the first of its kind at any North American university, the site gathers multimedia content from front-line social media like Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter to attract and inform alumni of all ages. There's no better place to take the pulse of the McGill community.
The MAA has created these tools to facilitate your involvement with McGill, and to underscore how important your input is. We want you to feel engaged with McGill and to let us know how we might serve you better.
Start by connecting with your peers, whether online or in person at an event at your MAA branch. Become a volunteer, attend a lecture, plug in to a podcast, or sign up for one of the Alumni Association’s fabulous trips. Our staff and volunteers are committed to keeping graduates in touch with the University and each other for the benefit of the McGill community – your community.
