Information to Aid Our Volunteers

More information about giving

There are many ways you can encourage colleagues to support Campaign McGill – from a single, one-time gift or convenient payroll deductions to establishing an endowment or planned gifts of a bequest, trust or annuity. And remember: all gifts made by faculty and staff until April 30, 2013 will count toward Campaign McGill. Learn more >>

By the numbers

Here are some helpful talking points about how giving by faculty and staff makes a difference at the University and beyond. We hope they will prove useful to Campus Community Committee volunteers as they spread the word about our initiative.

Annual Fund

  • The Annual Fund is the keystone for private support to the University, with annual gifts totalling more than $9-million per year.
  • Annual gifts provide immediate, flexible funds for McGill.
  • Annual donors are a stable population of supporters.
  • Annual gifts, properly stewarded, begin a cycle of donor cultivation that can lead to larger gifts over time.

Faculty and Staff Giving

  • Total faculty and staff donors in the 2012 fiscal year: 1,039
  • Total faculty and staff donations in the 2012 fiscal year: $1,131,848
