About the Branch
The McGill Alumni Association of Northern California was founded over 50 years ago. Since that time, the branch has organized hundreds of events in an effort to bring together the more than 1,400 McGill graduates who live in Northern California. In the past, the branch's schedule has included picnics, holiday parties, young alumni events, Summer Send-Offs for new McGill students, and various cultural activities.
"They are a dynamic group with fresh ideas and a real dedication to McGill," says Trish Duff, associate director (regional programs), of the branch and its volunteers. "They have been quietly representing McGill in the area for a number of years."
There are currently over 1,300 registered McGill alumni living in Northern California and approximately 250 active members. Our goal is to promote social and networking opportunities for these McGill graduates living in Northern California. Events are typically held bimonthly and around the San Francisco Bay area, where the majority of members reside.
