Each spring the McGill Alumni Association recognizes those graduates and friends whose commitment has had a significant impact on alumni life, the University and/or the community through the MAA Honours and Awards program.
MAA Honours and Awards recipients are the people who lead McGill’s international network of alumni branches, the students and young graduates who are making a difference on campus and around the world, and the alumni and friends who have made a lasting impact on McGill through decades of service to the University.
Nominations for the 2016 MAA Honours and Awards are now open:

The McGill Alumni Association has the privilege of recommending names of distinguished graduates to receive an honorary degree from the University. A candidate worthy of consideration for an honorary degree should have made an outstanding contribution in the field of his/her professional work and/or in the field of public service. It may be assumed that the candidates recommended by the McGill Alumni Association would also be expected to have made a special contribution to the work of the Association and to the prestige of the University.
